Just wanted to take a moment to say thanks for the video. I watched a couple others and yours was by far the most clear and I was able to remove the crank arm. Much appreciated.

Great video and helpful to someone that has just come across a crank removal issue like myself.

Thank you, Chris! That was beautiful. Had lined up the Park tool CCP-22 for purchase and this really helps!

I am a beginner, I used a CCP-44 on a square crank, the videos I watched to do this didn’t specified the difference. I ruined my crank. Learned from my mistakes

One more good push (on a longer wrench than yours) not working on my square crank with Park compact puller tool. I put a pipe over the wrench for some extra leverage and that worked but not without some effort.

Any idea on the torque setting for the refitting of the crank bolt…?
@ChrisEnockson2 жыл бұрын
It depends on the individual crank spec from manufacturer. Usually 40ish nm.

How can you remove if you dont have a tool
@jimcooper42015 ай бұрын
That is a Allan nut not a bolt because a bolt needs a spanner or socket

Can the CCP-22 be used on Schwinn indoor cycling bikes?
@ChrisEnockson2 жыл бұрын
Yes if they have square taper cranks. (Most do)

@@ChrisEnockson Let me ask you another question... my crank arms are loose, even after tightening the crank arm bolts, they're still loose. I don't know if I need to replace the crank arms, the bottom bracket, both or something entirely different? Appreciate your help.

Hey Chris what is the best bike torque wrench?
@ChrisEnockson3 жыл бұрын
I dont know for sure which is the best but I typically use the two sizes from park. Pedro's makes a good one as well. If owned ones from snap on and craftsman also but would advise caution if buying in from a non bike company. Often non bike ones are hard to find with newton meters and ft-lbs.
