How to remove a stain by patching carpet

You made that look easier than I was able to do. The piece I'm needing is about the size that you cut. How do I know where to cut out the old and then having the new piece facing in the correct position? The first time I tried this I cut it too short. Can I still go back and make the next one larger, if so, can you tell me how? Thanks!

Do they sell some glue like fabric, like the fabric on the back of the carpet itself? Then the carpet replacement isn’t glued to the padding and World be glued with the carpet. Thanks

Wow, impressed. I have a nitrile glove which lost some nitrile in the top layer of the carpet. This MAY be the only realistic fix. Something I would have NEVER thought of doing! 3 cheers! This is good enuff info to get a SUBSCRIPTION from me!
