@@barrygreengrass3379 A quick trip to Wiki reveals: A side-view mirror (or side mirror), also known as a door mirror and often (in the UK) called a wing mirror, is a mirror placed on the exterior of motor vehicles for the purposes of helping the driver see areas behind and to the sides of the vehicle, outside the driver's peripheral vision (in the "blind spot"). Seems I'm not the only one. Sometimes I call it a Hoover, that is the brand name of a company. I've heard Wing Mirror used frequently in the UK.
