I bought a bolt that fits the threads of the stock clutch then cut a hardened rod cut the correct length to go behind the bolt. I put a large ball out of an old bearing in first to contact the crank snout. Put those in first then screw the bolt in and impact it or just buy the puller.

You could try tapering the Honda key or get a copper pipe from home depot to make up the difference in the thickness of the shaft.

Hey Henry. If that is a 1 to 1,1/8 inch step up sleeve that you were looking for, That is a very common conversion when mounting the Predator engines as well as with the John Deere tractor engines that commonly use engines with the 1,1/8 crankshaft engines. Now the tapered shaft situation may require some further research. Amazon would possibly have what you need for your project. Those centrifugal clutches can be a real pain to remove intact - So consider yourself lucky in that regard.

Your a mad scientist you need to make a sleeve the same size as the old motor shaft but you got it if you don't make a sleeve it will slip and come loose as a goose

Get a piece of 1 in ID electrical conduit cut off what you need and you'd probably have to make it a little bit short so that it doesn't come all the way out to the end or you can put a couple cuts into it so that it could fold in a little and get your bolt and your washer and put the clutch on I should take up the slack in it cuz you only need .060" wall thickness

you first have to see if the golf cart frame moves with the suspension. If frame is solid and not part of the suspension. Get some metal plate 1/4" steel. ( scrap yard,market place) to make a base for the engine.weld plate to cart frame then mount engine. Dont use the tapered shaft clutch the wobble at 3000 rpm will destroy it and may bent your engine shaft.. Sell it for good money and get you a correct keyed centrifugal clutch on amazon. Keep going .. i had to do same thing on my madmax generator. made lots of mistake, now i know.. there can be no wobble. Will self-destruct..
