Thank you. You made changing the battery in my Dyson a breeze. The only difference, where the clip to hold the bottom of the dirt bin in, there were two screws holding the battery in, turning it upside down and looking where the clips are, took them out and the one on the handle and bob’s your uncle. I am technologically challenged, so, it was great finding your video. Thank you again.

Battery set came with a tiny screwdriver that stripped the inner screw, cammed out the head. SMH. eBay sells the Dyson screws, so I have to wait for them. Video is great. Free tool with mine not so much.

The link for the precision screwdrivers would not fit screws on my V7 vac. There is even a review by another buyer who said it did not open his V8. I have watched EVERY video on KZbin and it seems that a lot of people cannot remove the screws to replace batteries.

When purchasing a Dyson, makes me wonder how long will I be able to purchase a replacement battery once a certain model is getting towards being phased out. If you can’t find the battery you need, your machine then becomes useless.

Absolutely no reason to have screws to replace a battery. Should be able to swap out a battery with a secondary backup battery if it runs out of juice to continue vacuuming, or if the battery is no good. If they can do for power tools, there is no reason Dyson can't do it.

Good instructions, love how Dyson have made battery replacement simple enough for it to be done without a specialist.
