In this video I show you how to easily replace a Dyson V series vacuum battery. I am doing this on a Dyson V-8 but the process should be the same for all vacuums of this type.

Thanks for the help! I have a V7 and I've had it for about 5 or 6 years now. I decided to get the adapter for the Milwaukee battery since I have a ton of Milwaukee batteries from my husband. thank you for the help! Now I don't have to buy a new vacuum like I was thinking. Even amazon has the newer fancy attachments for the older style dysons so you can upgrade yours. Anytime I run maximum it dies instantly I can get away with running on the order mode for longer. I didn't want to buy a new vacuum at all since I love this thing for pet hair! Best thing for my stairs and vinyl floors. I have 2 large cane corso and 1 cat lol I have to sweep and vacuum daily!

I was able to call Dyson for the SKU number on my Dyson Model and then search on Amazon for a new battery (only $50) for my V10. I watched this video that showed where to remove all screws to remove the old battery and replace the new one. Now I’m charging up the new battery and looking forward to vacuuming for more than 2 minutes at a time. Thanks! 😂

Great video. I recently purchased a DeWalt battery converter for my Dyson. Not the same as buying a new Dyson battery but the process was the same. Your video showed exactly what I needed to know.

Very helpful video. Just to educate your viewers who are not familiar with Dyson. The run time for standard suction is 40 minutes. I rarely use the Max suction mode with a run time of 8 minutes. Great vacuum!

I watched this as I was about to order a replacement battery from eBay as the run time was below a minute and I wanted to see how to remove the battery (very helpful 👍) and check I was ordering the right replacement. Put the battery back in and ordered replacement. Used it soon afterwards(with original battery) and it ran for over 3 mins??? Can only think that removing and replacing the battery cleaned the contacts improving the run time

My dyson pulsates. I've cleaned the filters. I've checked for clogs. It's getting worse and worse, so I'm thinking it's the battery. Does that sound right? It pulsates and then shuts off. I have to wait a second to start vacuuming again. So I run it over the floor a few times and then stop. Run then stop. It's so sad. I'm disappointed it hasn't lasted longer. I guess batteries don't last that long. Do you think a new battery would fix this problem?

I’ve seen videos (probably from ppl shilling for Big Vacuum 😂) that claim these “off brand” batteries die in a matter of months (not several years of rigorous use like the Dyson OEM batteries do). I have the same vacuum and it is a total piece of garbage. The first time I used it the battery lasted two minutes. I tried calling Dyson at least ten times and they never answered their phone. I spent a ton on a total piece of garbege

dyson is overpriced junk..I vacuumed an area carpet with my 900.00 dyson vacuum..did it twice, real slow in all directions..and because I HATE the machine..hubby bought it....I went out next day and bought a Bissell ...redid area carpet and was absolutely SHOCKED at the amount of stuff it got out of that carpet
