Also a good idea to spin your wheel & make sure it isn't rubbing the brake disk rotor, if it is just loosen the two bolt holding the caliper in place, squeeze your brake lever (which will automatically align in correct, then tighten up whilst still squeezing the lever (I sometimes recruit someone to do that part for me). This has always realigned it perfectly for me.

Easy method to hold the brakes while adjusting the alignment is to use a rubber band.

Do you carry that big 6MM T-shaoed Allen wrench and your torque wrench with you when you go out for a long ride? I dont think so. Now what multi-tool do you use. I miss Quick Release (QR) spindles.
@jonmathias61592 жыл бұрын
Most multi-tools have a 6mm hex bit. The torque wrench is not necessary for a get you home fix - just do it up tightly.

question: I have a Ribble eBike and thought I'd better familiarise myself before being roadside with a puncture. I can't turn the 6mm Allen key at all on the thru axle. I don't want to over force it. I am going anticlockwise and I am applying a decent amount of pressure. Can I do damage by really upping the force to my max strength? thank you!

@peterking7041 Жыл бұрын
You need to give the units for the torque, it's 10 Nm (Newton meters) not just 10. People might get confused with Lb ft etc,

What do you if you can't remove the axle after unscrewing it as much as possible? Mine just clicks and isn't coming out.
@tmp1k2 ай бұрын
i'm a noob with disk brakes. If the thru axle is aligned and fits in between the forks and secures the wheel, and the rotor is aligned between the brake pads inside the caliper, does that mean the wheel should be installed and positioned properly? guy at the bike shoppe made it look easy. I put the front wheel on when I got home... rotor is rubbing when the wheel spins, i can hear it. wtf.

This bike was really easy to assemble kzbin.infoUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.
