2006 325Ci (USA) uses what size battery? Battery came from a Ford Escort (not the correct size)

Does the IBS if fitted need to be reset somehow? I thought that the Car adapted the charging profile based on feedback from the battery and you have to reset it to stop the new healthy battery being overcharged? Anyone..anyone...Bueller?

Rich Clark I am getting ready to change out my battery in a 2011 328i and curious if you ever found an answer to your question? I have the AGM type to replace the old one but am thinking that could be a mistake without having the ability to reset everything. Any help would be appreciated.

Rich Clark. Yea that's true I thought I could replace mines but I couldn't I had to go to bmw to get it reprogram

So u didn't add in that you'll have to reprogram the computer when u replace the battery and u have to go to bmw for it. They charge 250 just for labor and programming the battery is around 195. This whole job plus taxes is around 500$. If u dnt get the far reprogram for the new battery the car will over charge the new battery and you'll have to replace it again

I have just changed my battery as per the video. It was great assistance. What is this about registering battery. I changed the battery and it drives just fine. What will hapen if I dont register it?

​@@randpkandprgpearce5523Nobody knows! I will say changing the battery can fry your FRM module. You will have to send it out and have it reflashed I have disconnected my battery since that flash and it hasn't happened again, that only affects certain years though
