Hello Roger, I have a question regarding tools. Can you please point me in the right direction as to which tool set I should buy? I will be doing things like, oil change, spark plug change and simple things of that nature. Is there a specific toolset I should buy OR should I buy those tools as I go?
@weron0214 жыл бұрын
If you can get the metric set tools, 18mm is for Spark plugs, correct Oil and filter and you should be good to go, Just watch the video and follow the steps. Nothing to it, I am sure you can do it, Good Luck.

No wonder folk get into bother after watching KZbin videos. That bolt was far from rusty. "mechanic" doesn't know nuts from bolts. "trick" with two nuts locking on each other works with any nuts, but use the inboard one to remove threaded rod; the outer one stops it from running up the thread. Hit anything hard enough with a hammer to move the threads, and you've trashed them. The idea is to start breaking up rust.

You actually understand lmao these dudes don’t but hey they give people a good start
@peteshelby216 ай бұрын
Lol, they completely lost me after hammering the stud. Granted yea and some thi gs that are threaded into one another like two rods or something inverted into each other you can hammer the outside while rotating and it loosens up the threads , but not when you hammer straight into the threads. And why use the flange nuts. Just use any stupid nuts .
@joras184 жыл бұрын
Hey Roger. Do you have a part number for those self-locking hex nuts?

@@weron021 I'm swapping my bolts out on my FXDB, when installing new bolts any Loctite or Cooper Anti-seize? Thanks in advance..... Is it necessary to bang on the bolts? Or can you just soak it down with something like WD-40 and hit it with the torch? Just wondering by tapping the bolts if it can mess with any of the internal threads
@jasonsanderson9385 Жыл бұрын
@@weron021 Is it necessary to replace all four bolts? When I was removing my exhaust I was loosening the nut in the whole bolt came out of the head didn't snap. So I figured I'd swap out all four... Or should I just replace the one that came out? I'm afraid of snapping the bolts that are in the head that are good.
@weron021 Жыл бұрын
@@jasonsanderson9385 Yes tapping is nessesary to move the rust in side, also if you hove cooper Anti-seize use it, do not use Loctite, you wil not mess upt the threades.

Roger Weron I loved this response, use of proper terms does not make a good mechanic, practice does, when I’m in the garage pissed off bc I’m stuck between a rock and hard place I call stuff all sorts of wrong names, I’ll be calling my screwdriver the pry bar hahah or I’ll call hoses wires and dumb crap like that, it’s all part of being a good tech you know what you mean just not how to describe it hahaha were engineers not English teachers 😂🤷🏼♂️
