Every damn video shows a convenient Phillips screw head. I have stripped flat head screws. I can't get them out. They're ruined. There's practically no slot left. What am I supposed to do?

Try doing that with a tight, rusty screw... almost without a head, stuck inside a metal frame. I beat it won't be that eeaaasy.

Just use Torx bit screws in the future, and you will never have a stripped screw again..(only if you use the correct size torx bit, using a t20 in a t25 screw will strip them)

if only that were true. just fixed a stripped torx on my intake manifold, t30 hole, t30 bit. then I immediately after fixing that proceeded to snap a valve cover bolt off I'm my cylinder head. -_-

There is an easier way to do That. Put a rubber band over the head of the Phillips screw And it will assist you on taking the screw out.

Removing a screw from wood, I can do it with my teeth. Try a small machine screw buried in a piecve of metal.
