Spray and heat. You can use one of those induction bolt heaters.

Those front 2 bushings you were working on. What the heck do you do if the cars all together? How do you access the cage nuts if they are broke and spinning?

@@mxdad324 cutting them out has been the call more often than not

@@LSxHunter sorry but cutting them out as in how? We talking cutting a hole inside the car in the floorboard to access that area?
@LSxHunter2 ай бұрын
That is correct, you’d typically have to cut as access hole in the floor, cut out the holder, reweld it all back up. It’s not at all how anybody wants to do it but it’s been the standard unfortunately

I’m new to this stuff. I have a very nice 65 cutlass Oldsmobile f85 but it needs need body bushings, does the car need to be on a lift or on jack in order to change them???? Or, just change while sitting on the ground… thanks.
@LSxHunter Жыл бұрын
You shouldn’t need to jack the frame up. You will however need to slightly lift the body very gently to swap out the body bushings

Just did my Chevelle. my car is not a rust bucket, and I was eing careful. 2 were missing, 2 bolts broke, 3 of the cages failed, and a got the others out okay.
