Made the end of my job a good event. Steam cleaned whole carpet. Couldn't get something green out. "That's candy cane from Christmas." I thought "no way". Decided to google it. Just added a drop or two of woolite since I just had a small spot. Rubbed it in with my finger. Poof. Gone. Thank you so much!

Hi- when using white vinegar as a rinse we found 1:1 solution with water (equal parts of each) With Woolite use a small amount, just enough to create a sudsy foam in warm water Good Luck!!

My dog chewed up half of a giant candy cane stick. It's spread out over a large area of carpet. I have a carpet shampooer. Can I use the same process and products you suggest (except maybe the peroxide) in the shampooer instead?

Hi Michelle Yes, use the same process. You may have to still use the peroxide because of the food coloring in the candy cane. Note: Make sure all the sugary material is thoroughly rinsed out before trying the oxidizer (peroxides) Good luck 🍀

How to clean pop rocks which are thrown in all of the carpeted stairs? It’s sticky and driving me crazy. Please help. It’s so hard cleaning each staircase. What can one do? Plus it’s a rented house should i call a professional and who exactly to call? As you can tell i am so worried. 😟

Hi If you have more than one staircase and these sugary candies are on each step i would call a pro to help. Cleaning one or two pieces can be a DIY job but a pro would have more powerful equipment and can heat up the detergent which will make it easier to dissolve and flush away the sugar.

How do I get out crushed pieces of candy cane that have set in and stuck in the carpet for about a 8 months. I've manged to tug some of the pieces out but other pieces are really stuck in there. Damn kids.

Hi Maurice Use the detergent solution, but heat it first. Don't use boiling water, but hot tap water should melt/loosen the sugary candy. Let the detergent solution sit on the spot for 10-15 minutes to liquefy the candy. Repeat if necessary. If the water is too hot it could weaken the backing of the carpet. Don't pull the tufts. This could expose more of the backing. Good luck Let us know how it worked ☺
