Hey I just wanted to say thanks for this video. I just bought a 2000 4runner that has a a.c. button that is broken (falls out all the time), has a burnt out bulb behind the hvac controls, and has a dicky radio. You basically showed how to fix all of those in this video!

Hey, my cigarette lighter doesn't work... does it have a fuse? Of is it just wired direct?

I’m pretty sure it’s a fuse. Where the gas cap and hood release are. Just above there’s a fuse box. Check there.

Do you know how to fix the 12V outlet? I’ve checked my fuses and the connection and they all check out.

I'm here for the same reasons. The one in the back works fine. Front nothing. Noticed the middle sleeve of the inner 12v itself is lose. I can pull it half inch out. Guessing that's my issue.

@@NemesisKult there is a small fusible link built into the lighter assembly. its a half inch long wire with a slight L shape to it. these links are known to fail so you can fix them by replacing the lighter assembly or sometimes by resoldering the link. replacing is easier though.
