Wanna know how to remove cobwebs from high ceilings? We use the Doca Pole amzn.to/3wLsD90 with an artichoke-looking brush. It's actually part of a kit that is designed just for tall areas like ceiling fans, entry windows, and ledges. You can use the wall duster or recessed light bulb attachments for other deep cleaning projects as well but today I'll show you why I prefer and recommend this brand to all the cleaning companies I consult for.
Note: There are some cheap knock-off versions of this on Amazon - and it will be tempting to pay half the price for what seems to be the same thing. I really don't care which one you buy but please know that the brackets on other models that hold the extension pole in place often don't stay. So while you are trying to clean using a competitor brand, the pole will slide back into itself and you'll get really mad at yourself for wasting your money.
Note 2: I also recommend the 24 ft pole over the 18 ft. pole. You can still only use it for 18ft if that is all you need. But if you ever go outside to extend the pole with your smartphone on the end as a camera looking for a leak in your roof - you'll wish you had the 24 ft pole. (The 30 ft gets a little hard to manage when fully extended at 30 ft.)

It's a great way to get rid of the cobwebs. I know a lot of professionals dust their cobweb brushes with Diatomaceous Earth crawling insect killer amzn.to/3Dm58Gj before dusting the walls. It leaves trace amounts on the walls so the bugs won't come back.

My wife has been looking for something like this for a long time now, we do have a 2 plus story ceiling and has always asked how are we going to get to the webs. They don't really bother me but they do bother her. The funny part, I had recently purchased an Ego 530 cubic foot per minute electric leaf blower, I accidentally pointed it up and pull the trigger in the house before going outside and she was with me at the time, yeah it blew all the Cobb webs off the ceiling pronto... I said I think I have finally found a solution to your longer standing problems with the webs. She got a giggle out of it and screaming at me the same time, that was priceless... I would be OK with letting the dust settle but I think she will like your idea better.

Girl! You are seriously intelligent in EVERYTHING! You’ve taught me about depression, dust, SPIDERS? Like huh? I have MDD- major depressive disorder. I’m also a recovering addict. My mother, grandpa, aunt, and grandma all passed away in the last 18 months. I totally lost myself in the deepest depression you could ever imagine. I almost lost my life! I’ve been in treatment since July and I’m doing so much better. Buttt I came home to this DISGUSTING HORRIBLE mess of a house! I have sat here alllll day wondering where do I start?! I can’t go for a walk, it’s dark, but it’s only 5, so I made some coffee, I’m gonna put in some music, and CLEAN THE KITCHEN. Just one room...will be spectacular! It's amazing how much I use it. I recently bought a bicycle holder for the smartphone amzn.to/3FkIr60 that fits nicely on the end of the pole. I can attach my smartphone and turn it on record and go up above the kitchen cabinets to see what type of gunk is up there without pulling out a ladder. It's also great for amateur film makers who need an overhead view from inside the house without attaching a camera "way up there."

Do you bring bug killer spray with u when clean houses? Its scary to clean under sinks because bugs can be there
@AskAngelaBrown
@AskAngelaBrown 2 жыл бұрын
Not usually. The bug killing is really a job for the homeowner or their pest control service. We can remove cobwebs but we don't guarantee no bugs in the house which can be encouraged by a variety of the homeowners living habits like left out food, or unsealed doors and windows.

The fan duster attachment broke the first day I used it. Actually, all of the fan duster attachments I have used, 4 of them, Doca and 3 other off brands, have broke soon after the first use. What's up with that? Also, I have multiple different brand extention pole dusters including the Doca system, and the cheaper ones work just as well as Doca. Just thought I would share.
@AskAngelaBrown
@AskAngelaBrown 2 жыл бұрын
It is under warranty, if it broke the first time you used it I would return it and get a replacement. I too have had other brands, but found that when the pole is extended it often slides into itself while cleaning. I haven't had that problem with the DocaPole which is why we switched to that brand.

How soft is that artichoke brush? Sometimes it doesn’t take much to knock the old crumb texture off the ceiling, and redoing the ceiling isn’t in the budget.
@AskAngelaBrown
@AskAngelaBrown 2 жыл бұрын
How soft is the artichoke brush? I've never been asked that question before and I don't really know how to answer. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the strongest, it is about a 7. And in my opinion (this is the first time I'm articulating this so I'm kind of making it up as I go) but anything above a 3 will knock off popcorn bits off the ceiling.

Hello. If you had to clean mold around a light fixture of a tall ceiling, what would you attach to the Doca Pole?
@AskAngelaBrown
@AskAngelaBrown 2 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't. If you have mold on the ceiling I'd get a mold remediation company in there immediately. Every day you wait your house will depreciate in value. Mold is an organic compound that grows like wildfire. And it will eat up your house and make you deathly ill. If you are seeing in on the ceiling, chances are it's on the other side of the ceiling (maybe in an attic or rafters of the house.) The sooner you get to this the more money you will save. Wiping it off with a Doca Pole won't remove it. I'm so sorry you're experiencing this. 😰

Right? It's great for all the cleaning projects "overhead". On a maintenance clean we only go as tall as we can reach standing on the floor with our hand extended above our head. This allows us to reach all the other stuff on a different cleaning day. 😍

For under a hundred dollars you can get a pole that lasts a lifetime. amzn.to/3DjogEQ We use it for windows, wall washing, ceiling fans, dusting lights, cobwebs, recessed light bulb changing. It is the kit that as professionals we use for all our deep cleaning. (An average deep clean costs $500 - $600) There are cheaper versions of it, but the extension poles of the cheaper models often slip back into the pole due to the clips or screws they put on handles.
