I’ve been trimming my dads’s toenails. He told me they would get uncomfortable. I cleaned the sidewalls and cuticles a bit just trying to clean up his nails, not realizing that was his discomfort. @@meticulousmanicurist I should have specified I am in Illinois but only about 45 minutes or so from down town St. Louis but YES! This area needs nail technicians so bad. Even getting your license in this area is so hard because you either have to quit your job and go full time and/ or do the full cosmo license which I had zero interest in. It was extremely difficult because we have very few schools and the ones we do have don’t have flexible schedules for those that work full time jobs. But I can say with zero hesitation there is NO ONE doing a meticulous style pedicure where I live! I cannot wait to continue to grow and learn from you!!! I know I will have the pedicure business absolutely cornered!!

My dad was lucky and had good feet and never a nail problem. But, he knew feet could be a problem so he always preached to take care of them so you feel good. Plus, get the best shoes you could afford that fit right.

Gloves are for medical personnel dealing with seriously infectious materials, like ingrown toenails with pus.

Gloves are not required per state board. Fungus needs time and a specific environment to grow. Before and after a service, I wash and sanitize my hands which mitigates any transfer. Personally, I prefer the improved dexterity of not wearing gloves. Personal human touch is an important element of my services.
