I like your idea of taking off the silk hairs from your corn on the cob. I also have another helpful hint for your a friend of mind told me a few years back and that is too take off the silk hairs off from the bottom of the cob and that works wonderful!!!!! I was also told to use little water in your pot as you waist all the flavour with too much water. Keep the tips on coming!!!!

Have you tried Umeboshi Plum paste on your corn, yummy and very medicinal. Aids digestion plus more. It's a Japanese condiment.

Also for easier eating of corn on the cob before cooking run a butter knife down between corn rows.

If you add 1/8 to 1/4 cup of milk to the water, it makes the corn taste creamier.

Or you can steam it/microwave them and when they're done you just cut off the bottom with the husk on, then pull of the husks from the top and the silks come off with it cleanly.

I have a problem with cooking scramble eggs. (Easiest food to cook right) but I always seem to get a film on the bottom of the skillet and the sides. When it cools IRS flaky and a mess to clean. Can you save my favorite breakfast food?

Use cooking spray and butter and let the butter melt, crack a couple eggs in a bowl and put a lid on the bowl and shake it up till the eggs are all blended together

Suggest microwave. Cover unhusked cleaned corn w butter or other chosen seasonings. Then wrap in wax paper. Roll ear of corn on a diagonal turning in edges to ‘seal’. Place corn on large flat plate arranging like spokes of a wheel with large end of corn towards outside of plate. I never do more than 4 ears at a time. Wax paper will not totally hold all butter that is why you use a plate to catch extra butter. When you press kernels they are done when soft to touch. Time if microwave cooking varies based on microwave wattage and type and size of ears of corn. Also how many ears are done at once. 2 ears cook faster than 4

Corn Silk has medicinal properties. Dry and make a tea with it.

I've tried this 3 times in the last 2 years and it does not work. Some silk gets removed, but most are still stuck to the corn.

Shuck the ear by grabbing the husk on the end and getting ahold of the silk too. Pull it all back and break of the the husk end and remove it and the silk. Hold the ear in your hands and rotate it back and forth a few minutes and the 99% of the silk will be gone. You'll just have a few strings of silk to pick off. No brush or other so called silk removal tools needed. I've done it this way for years and it's so simple to do. These cooks make it sound like it's a real chore to do. It's not.
