Good idea, only one stuck in my head and has threads damaged at that point now unfortunately and top part of injector pulls off them threads with slide hammer. Never seen one as tight
@Bodgemiester5 жыл бұрын
Cut one of the old ones up and make a tool like this, as you can see I scrapped all the injectors

Please help - can anybody please advise on drilling the injector to create the tapped m10 hole? I’ve had a standard combi on it for over an hour with just breaking the surface. I’ve taken it into a workshop where they had a pillar drill on it and have told me it was just blunting the drill bit. 3.59 I have this piece without the drilled hole can anybody please advise the best way to drill this out as I’ve been at it for days now. Any advice would be much appreciated Thanks

Why drill the injector? Can you not split it in situ
@Scott-se7up5 жыл бұрын
Bodgemiester I was trying to drill the part shown at 0.1 seconds to create a slide hammer, I managed to buy one cheap and got an m12 bolt welded on the back and it’s still stuck in the block. The thread has also began to sheer now so I’ve applied some locktite threadlock today and going to re attempt it tomorrow
@Bodgemiester5 жыл бұрын
Wow, that’s stuck! What engine is it. The VW in the video had been outside for 5 years in all weather and they (as you can see) came basically straight out

Bodgemiester its a Ford Fiesta 1.4 tdci 2009. Even the locktite hasn’t worked it’s now looking at buying a new bare head to try and replace the whole lot as the threads are now sheered on the piece stuck in the block!

why didn't you make fitting that screws onto injector tube threads???? that's how most removers work
@Bodgemiester7 жыл бұрын
+hasel sawyer , hi thanks for commenting, I have one like that to, I was worried that the top of the injector would snap off as they were well stuck in there
@adamsorell48517 жыл бұрын
i tried the slide hammer way. things wont budge. i ordered a 12 ton hydraulic hollow center ram. but now i have to build a fixture. i hope the top doesn't snap off. these injectors are small but long ae01.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1U_ShMVXXXXXqXVXXq6xXFXXXN/-font-b-YANMAR-b-font-spare-parts-3TN82E-3TN82-3TNA82-3TNV82A-3TNE82A-injector-assy-4pcs.jpg

+adam sorell , wow they are well in, the reason I went onto the nozzle threads is because I didn't want to snap them. Try heating them up before you go tooooo mad. If it's into aluminium it should expand pretty quick. Stick the whole head in the oven on maximum for an hour then try again with the slide hammer
@Bodgemiester7 жыл бұрын
+hasel sawyer yeah, I made one like that to, these were super stuck. I didn't need the injectors so this is what I came up with.

hasel sawyer where find something to screw onto piston threads? they seem like a finer thread than must nuts?
