I love that the trim clips are made of metal and not horrible, brittle plastic that never lasts. I have a beautiful 1990 Mercedes S124 and nearly all of the issues I have with it involve plastic that has broken; it spoils an otherwise well-engineered car.

Dear Paul: Another excellent video. It takes some patience with these cars. I have slow windows and will likely have to get after them in the spring. I took my 1989 Mulsanne S out in the 5 deg. (Fahrenheit) weather today for the long-awaited state inspection. With that hurdle (It passed!) now clear, I might be able to get valid license plates for her at the end of this week! Our streets are dry and clear, but I don't think anyone else in the metro had their Bentley or RR out today. The heat did not come on until 100% up to temperature, but then it was excellent! AND, the outside temperature gauge and "ice" warning light worked perfectly! It was still a delight to drive; plenty of engine power with the dense air. So, you have subscribers in Missouri, the Kansas City, Mo., metro area, to be exact. (We are not in Kansas! Paul McCartney gets this right when he plays here.) We have an American Football team going for three-peat Super Bowl win, and the team is very popular with the world's most famous female musician and singer! So get us scratched off! Stay warm; minus 7 degr. (F) here in the morning! -Bobo KC

Been to both the Crewe experience, in 1998, with a motor club visit I was Events Secretary years ago, when BMW just bought Rolls Royce , but both brands were still under the same manufacturing plant at the time. As well as a visit to Newport Pagnell to visit Aston Martin. Both manufacturers used to stamp or mark parts /trim with the chassis number they were to be allocated to.

Hand warming tip being a farmers son before working in the fields during winter submerge your hands in a bucket of cold water for 2/3 min dry them off . Your hands will now become beacons of heat .Works every time. As for the weather sheet use an hairdryer to warm and soften the sheet/glue 😊😊YORKSHIRE BORN/BRED

Here from Utah USA Also I drive a 1986 Silver Spirit There is an article on line about increasing the size of the power feed wires to the window motor to allow more amps to flow and increase the speed of window actuation. Also another one on using silicone spray on the window channels to make it easier for the motor to push the window up and down through the channels. 36F degrees here this morning BUT my garage is heated 🙂

Hello again, for your records, I’m in Cromer Norfolk. In the future you may need to use leather dye for touching up when I did my previous Spirit I removed a piece of leather from the door cards so you can send it off for a perfect match, hope that helps, mark Stuckey

Well done Paul. The level of engineering, even for the door panel fixings, is much like the rest of the car - immaculately done.
