How To Remove Dust Inside 24-70 2.8 Nikon Lens

How to clean the dust from inside your 24-70 Nikon Lens. This is VERY EASY. There are a total of 3 screws that you have to remove from the back side of the camera lens, lift the element blow out the dust and reassemble.
This is the main lens that I use for my real estate photography. When you pay almost $2,000 for a lens you expect it to last a very long time. I was very disappointed when I found a blurry spot on my photos and videos. I realized that there was a tiny piece of plastic sitting in the middle of the glass inside the lens. With a little research on how to remove dust from a lens I was happy to find out that the 24-70mm 2.8 Nikon lens was one of the easiest to clean. How ever I couldn't find a tutorial on what screws to remove. I hope you enjoy this video, like it and subscribe.
This will void your warrantee but I honestly don't know how Nikon would ever be able to tell that you did this process.

I have always heard you should never use forced/ compressed air you should get a Rocket air squeezer and turn the lens upside down and let the dust fall out

I do recommend that, however I used filtered air... Standard compressor air can blow rust, oil and water. I think that's why it's not recommended.

Just ordered a 35mm 1.8 and didn’t read description has some internal dust on rear does this lens come apart same way?

But how it gets inside. I have dust on rear element for my nikkor 105 f2 d. Can i clean it the Same way.

The 105 is built very differently. It's not hard but you'll probably have to remove the full base to get inside that lens. I would practice on a random cheap lens with fungus from eBay if you're not comfortable yet.

Sí. esa es la misma pieza de vidrio que eliminé y limpié en mi video. Espero que haya funcionado para ti. Es muy fácil de reemplazar. Puede hacerlo usted mismo con un destornillador pequeño.

I have done this and can confirm its very easy, however *WARNING* NEVER USE CANNED AIR, EVER ON A CAMERA OR LENS!!! Only use a rocket blower!

Im glad you were able to clean your rear element. I agree with not using canned air. In my video you can hear something that sounds like canned air, however it was actually a small air compressor with a moisture filter, pressure regulator and some type of low micron filter. Its not the most Koser way to de-dust a lens but ive never had issues with using it. And when you take a lens 100% appart and then reassemble it, rocket blowers start to cramp your hand after a short awhile.........Anyway congrats on cleaning your own lens.

TIP: Never use a dry cloth, always moister. A Dry cloth will scratch very easy the glass. Moister prevents scratching 😊
