I wish I had the free time to work on other people's vehicles but I try to put as much info as I can in my videos too show people you can do it on your own with no help. Thanks for Vid-- Figured I would have to take the whole interior out- Started out like you did by taking bolts out of fender wells - Hoped it would just have double sided tape - quickly discovered it had other bolts and found the plugs. Ashtray removal and the final " 7th wonder of the world" last bolt should save me about a Days work. Thanks Brother. Keep us posted on your build- Peace

Great video, works about the same on a 1999 Suburban, just a little more working around with the secondary HVAC system to get that last bolt out.

Those nuts are called "stamped palnuts". It's always the simple tasks that lead us down a rabbit hole. Lol! Before you know it, you'll be performing a frame-off restoration. Good luck to you my brother.

You have to remove the whole front fenders off the Tahoe to pull the flares off without breaking them

There not in the best shape I think our hot Arizona sun has warped them over the years. I've found some new ones on ebay & LMC Trucks but I'm not sure if I wanna get them because I kinda like the look of no plastic flares

I filmed it but have not posted it yet but to sum it up the front fenders must be removed off the Tahoe to get the flares off without breaking them

The two holes may have been puddle lights in the fender wells. See if they are in the same location in the other fender wells.

There are no holes on the other side & I'm not gonna put no lights on the wheel wells so I welded them up...Thanks 4Watching

Thought about adding fender flares , Neverending I thought it was just double sided tape.

The aftermarket flairs use double sided tape but the stock ones use lots of bolts

Nice work man! I just checked my 97 2 door and the holes in question are not present. All of the other plugs are in the exact same location as you show, but not the small holes. Those must be where someone was doing some "exploratory surgery"... Granted, my wheel wells are dirty, but the plugs stand out like really well and the area where those small holes are are just smooth metal underneath a layer or dirt. I hope someone else can also verify. Good luck. Seems like there's always something else to do.
