Thanks Dominic, the Deflicker effect in DVR Studio comes in very handy!

It sure does! A lot of Resolve’s simple effects work so well

Didnt work for me. Still flickering.
@CalrissianSteele3 ай бұрын
Thank you for this. Thankfully the character was mostly in a somewhat dark space and moving slowly so the ghosting isn't really at all noticeable. I even doubled over footage twice and it still helped with flicker even more.

Did you compare this deflicker in Davinci Resolve with Digital Anarchy Flicker Free plugin?
@DominicKrupp4 ай бұрын
I did not. I work with a lot of different people and we're always sharing Resolve projects and having different people edit on them so we try to use little to no 3rd party plugins within our workflows
@TroyQwertАй бұрын
I tried the DaVinchi on deflicker, a custom flicker remover and Boris flicker remover. On a dynamic footage, not static. All I figured they all don't do magic. None of them did any job in my case. But what they all do pretty perfect - they successfully use as much power of your comp and GPU as possible and it takes forever on files more than a few seconds long. I gonna try see a hidden Fusion node to do the job, AI language model just suggested. It is named The Frame Average node.

hello :) How do you move your items "frame by frame" on the timeline ? i mean, when i slide my rush, it's just slide and i dont know how many frame did i move :( thank's a lot
@DominicKrupp6 ай бұрын
If you zoom in close enough on the timeline and start sliding a clip over you’ll see a little tooltip appear next to the cursor indicating how many frames you’re offsetting the clip. Let me know if that helps!

Is there a way in davinci to resolve this ghosting thats occuring from changing the opacity to 50?
@DominicKrupp5 ай бұрын
Unfortunately not. That is the downside with the first technique. I would only use that one if your scene and subject are relatively static

Does it work for rolling lines in the footage as well?
@DominicKrupp8 ай бұрын
I believe the Resolve effect does. Using the basic method of duplicating the clip has pretty poor results with the rolling lines in my experience.

Noob question: is what you just did in this video the same thing as other commenters below when they are referencing the "deflicker effect"? Does DVR have an anti-flicker function built-in?
@DominicKrupp5 ай бұрын
Resolve does have a flicker removing effect built into the studio version. The effect is called “deflicker”. I hope this helps!
