Fluorescent lights don't generally produce a lot of heat, at least not as much as HID lamps, but they do burn hotter than LEDs.
An LED light does not require a ballast because it uses a component called a “driver” to regulate the power going into the bulb.
There are various methods for converting fluorescent lighting fixtures into LED ones. However, the simplest way is to use some sort of retrofit kit. These kits attach to already existing lighting fixtures and allow for LED bulbs to be housed in them.
Why Convert to LED?
1. Save electricity bill. LED tube lights save over 50% on the electricity bill.
2. Low maintenance cost. The lifespan of LED tube lights is much longer. High quality LED tube can get 5 years warranty. Besides, if you use a ballast bypass solution, you do not change the ballast either.

4. Eco-friendly. The fluorescent tube contains mercury, but LED tube is absolutely eco-friendly.
How to Convert 4ft Fluorescent Tube to LED?
There are different methods to convert to LED. Initial cost and maintenance cost are different.
1. Type A LED Tube - Plug and Play (Compatible with Ballast)Type A LED tube lights is compatible with ballast. It supports plug-and-play. However, product cost and maintenance cost is higher. Ballast compatibility may be a problem too.
2. Type B LED Tube - Ballast BypassType B LED tubes can install directly on T8 fluorescent light fixtures. However, the ballast needs to be removed before installation. There are two kinds of type B LED tubes, which are single-ended power and double-ended power LED tubes. The single-ended power LED tube needs to rewire, but it’s cheaper. Double-ended power LED tube can work directly on fluorescent light fixtures after removing ballast.
3. Type C LED Tube - External driverType C LED tube comes with an external driver, which provides more flexible installation. However, product cost is much higher.

Hai, kalau sy tutup main switch kat DB, maksudnya dah takde arus elektrik lah kan ? lepas tu baru sy tukar casing baru, nak cuba DIY tp agak takut2.

Ya!Untuk keselamatan tutup main suis kat DB dan pastikan suisnya betul.Sebaiknya ada test pen untuk uji saliran elektrik dekat wire live/Neutral untuk pengesahan yang pasti.

Wire hijau tu untuk grounding.Kalau tak sambung pun tak ada masalah.Yang penting wire live dan neutral perlu di sambung untuk hidupkan lampu.Kalau nak sambung juga,boleh guna tambahan wire lain untuk panjangkan wire asal.
