I wish I could post a pic of the nails I did on myself yesterday! They're the best shaped nails I've EVER done and I owe it all to watching your videos over and over and OVER again! Thank you so much Liz; you, along with Suzie and countless other super talented/generous artists out there. Have a wicked awesome day!

I am a DIY, and I started with tips. It proved hard both to apply and to take off, plus they were quick to separate from the nailbed (glue did not hold). I am overlaying with polygel, which gives me the freedom of shaping the way I want to. I use my electric file now to remove the gel. No acetone soaking. However, yours are the best and most educational tutorials ever. Thank you!

I started with jelly tips and got frustrated that with my hands in water so frequently, the tips would pop off within a week. I now do hard gel with minimal lifting at two weeks, but I'm hard on my hands. Channels like this have been my salvation!

After years of doing my own dip nails, I switched to gel last year. Now I'm living with the consequences of over-filing because I struggle to distinguish gel base from natural nail. 😓 I'm just going to have to be much more cautious going forward. I really appreciate your thorough, helpful tutorials. There are a lot of DIY'ers out there spreading bad information, so I really value your expertise and teaching skill.

I'd love to see a video of a back-fill on full cover tip nails! Also, do you recommend using a soak off gel (like in this video) or a hard gel to attach the full cover tips? Obviously, if you are using hard gel underneath your tip, you wouldn't be able to soak them off, but are there any other differences one should be aware off? Thanks!

What day of the week do you do your restocks? I'm wanting to get the akzentz hard gel and you've been sold out of a couple of the ones I'm wanting. You're videos have encouraged me to add a hard gel service to my traveling salon service! I won't do acrylics because there's no way to ensure ventilation in client homes. So hard gel is perfect!

I just tonight finished removing all the "autumn" colors from my nails, getting them "naked," filed and shaped, and shiny with a clear hard gel overlay so I can start doing my xmas nails tomorrow. But now that I can actually see my nail beds, I note that like other people's nails that I've seen in videos, my nail beds are a bit lighter in color than my "normal" skin. But surprisingly, they're definitely on the lavender side of pink. Does that mean that "my colors" should be cool colors? I always thought that with my medium-olive complexion and red-auburn hair, that I was a "warm colors" person, but my nail beds seem to disagree. Any ideas on that?

Hi Is it better to use gel or glue to put nail tips on ? And which is easier for removal? Thank you

I personally prefer gel as it adheres better for longer and it is easier to remove than glue. Check out my application video before this if you didn't see it yet.

I have a question about poly and builder gel. I have a bit of builder gel on my nails because they are super thin and just frail from all the abuse as a beginner. My question, can I apply poly gel over builder gel to add extensions? I know it will be a bit more thick than usual, but I’m wondering how if prep the nail with builder on it, in order to add polygel extensions or use polygel as glue with tips? Any info is helpful!! Thank y’all so much!

After having nails on and off for forty years they started itching. Itching like a million mosquito bites. This started about five days after a terrible fill and five days after getting the first Covid shot which made me sick for 2 months. I don't know what caused it, but it seems I gained an allergy to something. I don't know if it was the acrylic or the gel polish. If it was caused by years of shitty techs or that Covid shot. I tried soaking them off and it's been a month of agony. They are split all the way to the cuticle. Paper thin and bleeding still. I miss my nails so much I can't imagine never having them again. But I cannot suffer like this again either. I wish I could post a picture. I'm miserable.

Oh no , you can try press pms once you heal up. My usually stay on for 10day or 2 weeks with great prep,

The same thing happened to me after my covid shot in my left arm. The itching in my left hand was so intense that I had to remove my nails on that hand. Now I do pressons on my left hand so I can soak them off if the itching gets bad. It does get better with time. Each time I got another covid shot, I had to start all over with the itching/desensitizing again. It is very strange.
@harpers1niter2 жыл бұрын
@@terriott237 OMG. I never got another Covid shot. I have seen 3 doctors about my nails. It has been 7 months now and the itching is still unbearable. My nail beds are what itches. My fingertips are sore and the skin is so thick under my nails I can cut it off with cuticle nippers. I am on Keflex now. 2 days in and it's not helping. I am emotionally unstable after going through months of this and nobody understands.

Thank you Liz!!! Can you backfill a full coverage tip for like 3-5 months until it fully grows out, or will you need to do this removal process at some point?
@Danellr0073 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can just like any enhancement they don't need to be removed, you can just keep filling and reshaping.

As long as you remove any lifting, you should be good! The less soaking and filing your natural nail bed, the better.
