How to Remove Lexus IS300 Dash | Sticky Dash Replacement

We show you how to properly remove the 2001-2005 Lexus IS300 dashboard to replace the melting sticky dash. This is also useful if you are doing manual swap and need to easily access the pedals and wiring.
Overall is a lot easier than it seems. Mostly all screws and 10mm bolts/nuts. Getting wires and other mines cleared makes it easy.
Pay attention to curtain A pillar airbags, I figured this out in video. Remove those pillars first.

Awesome video. Just a PSA for everyone, having the dash out is a good time to replace broken AC/blend servos, change up the LEDs on the gauge clusters/ac controls, and to see if you have a heater core leak ;)

Will the reverse lights still work, how will ecu know the tranny is in reverse ? And do you know the size of pin that's need to be used for the wiring to the speedometer (Instead of getting a used connector from the junk yard). Also what did you do with the wiring under the car that was connected to automatic transmission? Did you get rid of it?

Hello, I have question about the is250. I haven't find anything about AC videos on is250. I have maybe a problem with evaporator core leaking. Do i have to take everything away including dash? Have you ever been a problem with your AC?

Dash needs to come out for any evaporator work.

What made you think of evaporator being an issue? I figured since I’m taking my dash out I will do the evaporator but it looks like a hassle

Still got 2 but I’m selling as set with clutch. You can get the brake pedal from dealer or bell Lexus. Should be $200 or so.

if you're careful, it should be about a hour or 2 to take out. Most of the hard stuff is removing surrounding parts.
