Best way to take out the wheel is to just smack the sides

I've tried. You gonna have to twist the dash a lot and pull from the passenger side. If you are having issues getting that nut off the steering wheel, you could lower the steering column. There are (4) 12mm bolts/nuts that the steering column is attached to the large cross bar. That may give you more room

@@guardianracing9073 - another trick to remove the steering wheel is to give it a couple solid whacks with a rubber mallet before you take the large 19mm nut. It works every time!

I prefer the lowering of the steering column myself. No reason to mess with the clock spring and airbag. And if you're removing the dash for any other reason (heater core/evap) you're just one step ahead when you have to remove the crash bar.

LOL. Yea, I normally do when it comes to engine rebuilds.. I put everything in order in the garage. There really isn't that many bolts, and most are obvious where they go. Almost impossible to mix up.

ive taken my bezel around my tachometer off without removing the steering wheel. why was the steering wheel removed?
