Great tutorial as always Aaron. Relating to the spot healing brush tool (or any use of content-aware fill), in my experience it pays to have your brush approximately the same size as the element you are trying to remove (or your selection isolated as close to the edges of that object) as it helps the content-aware algorithm "guess" much more accurately what it needs to replace, and where to sample new stuff from. If the brush/selection size is considerably larger than the edges of what needs to be removed, then the content-aware fill just does more of a guesstimation and gives you a more in-between smudgy result.

I have found that the blur tool, which is only reducing contrast with surrounding pixels, is very effective as well in sensitive areas. If I’m trying to remove a dark spot, then I use blur lighten. If I’m trying to reduce a light spot I use blur darken.

Thanks for another great tutorial Aaron. I love the way you get the message across. Could I please ask a question regarding Camera Raw? I use Lightroom to do my editing and then select "Edit in Photoshop" to pass over to Photoshop. Is there a way were I can bypass having to go via Camera Raw? Thanks Warren.

Aaron, I am guessing you can remove glare in glasses using that pen technique?

Isn't removing a photographers logo/brand illegal?
@phlearn4 жыл бұрын
This is not a tutorial on removing watermarks. Removing logos and other branding elements is often a necessary step in preparing stock photography and is used to remove distractions from images as well.

Too many steps are done with keyboard instead of showing how. For example. creating and grouping the layer. Show your steps.

He went 25 and a half minutes without mentioning his significant other. I thought he would go a whole video without mentioning it. This guy can't live without the pen tool. THEEEE most useless and overrated tool in the arsenal.
