Hi Hilton. Great video. That was a nasty dent but a fabulous result in the end. I had the same experience last year but all sorted without trim removal at reasonable cost. Dents are very annoying on a new car!

Hey Andrew, thanks for watching. Yeah, when I saw the dent I was horrified, but the dent guy was confident he could make it look like new. I'm pleased with the result. Even though this car is white, it's pearl white and I would hate to spray it ;-)

I have a similar dent on my CX5 but it is more central on the rear door, and I'm guessing that the dent will end up being behind the black window mechanism in your video. Did you watch how they removed the dent? I don't know how to remove my dent if it will be multiple layers and still not exposed even if I remove the door trim panel. Thanks for taking the time to post this!

Hey there. I wanted to film the guy removing the dent but he was camera shy and wouldn't let me. I'd recommend getting a professional to do it for you. He used a long bar-like prong to message the metal from inside the door and then a little metal hammer to hammer the dent from the outside to relieve the tension caused by the debt. Five minutes and the dent was gone. It's worth getting someone to do it for you 😉

Hey Lou, the front door is pretty much identical to the rear.

Hey Jag! Did you remove the center console pieces to add the wood grain stickers on them? Or do they just stick on top?

so what do you do if the little black holder does not want to came out of the door after its been released

I honestly don't know. Perhaps try prying it out with a small flat head screw driver.

well aventually we got it out but have scratched the door so that we had to spray it over again.after all i found a solotion for that problem.that locking block that block the handle to come out i have cut it smaller so that it fit underneath the handle to pull it out once you unscrew the bolt in the side.only problem after that the handle is a little bit loose n but you will never scratch or dent the vehicle ever again..

@SarelRoux-np6fb Having taken my door pads off frequently, I've never had to do any of that. I think you might have done something wrong.

Hi Hilton! I know the video is from 2 years ago but im having a issue i would like to know your perspective on the matter. I have that same car model and im starting to hear some kind of parasite sound that comes from the door panel. I noticed that when i press the plastic cover where the first screw is, the noise almost disapers. So what im gonna do is buy the tr removal kit to take off the plastic and maybe try to tighten that screw in order to get the door panel to be completly tighten up. But sometimes i feel that the place from the door panel where you use your hand to close the door from the inside, it feels a little bit loose. So my question for you is, when you take off the door panel, do you think there is a way to tighten up using some tool the insides of the door panel? Because from your video im not sure if there are screws to tight or some other kind of "interface" to do that... can you help me? Thanks.

Hey Fabio. I would check how tight that screw is 9n the door handle itself. Maybe the door card was taken off before and not tightened properly. If it's tight, I'd remove the door card entirely and look for loose fittings behind the door card. Failing that, you might have to look inside the door itself. I found a rogue screw just lying in my Jaguar's door on the inside which was most likely from a window regulator replacement. I hope you find it. Good luck.

Thanks Hilton! Thats exactly what im gonna do. When you talk about loose fittings you are refering to those white things that attachs the door trim to the actual door right? I was asking if from the inside of the door panel trim, there were another "screws" or " things" that you would be able to tight up especially in the area of the trim that you use to push in order to close the door. Am i making myself clear to you? Thanks again for the help! Cheers.

@@Fabio-Ferreira Hey Fabio, from what I remember, there weren't any screws on the inner part of the door panel. These cars are put together pretty well and the clips are all top notch grade. I would check inside the door itself for anything that may have fallen in there.

How do you remove the clips that remained stuck in the door? None of my clips came off after panel removal. I’m driving a CX 5 but the system looks similar

Hey Hendrik, you need a forked trim remover tool (the plastic type) and get the forks under the flush plastic bit that is flush with the door itself - its not easy, but you need to do that otherwise you will damage them - you need quite a bit of force to get them out.
