How to Remove Missing or Broken Links in Indesign

i just clicked on it in the links panel and hit delete on my keyboard. Think they must have updated it. I was looking for delete in flyout menus etc but not necessary

Thanks a lot for this. I'm using 2020 InDesign on Mac and wanted to unlink a data merged excel file from a document but keep all the information and formatting. The suggestion of exporting all stories to InCopy etc worked straight away. Brilliant, really appreciate the video :)

hi what i want to ask you is i have a indesign file in which i used some images(copy and paste), so now im not able to convert my file into a pdf one. i know the reason maybe i did not download those pictures and save it on my laptop. so is there any way or possibilites to convert my indesign file into a pdf file?

Thanks, when using the second method, what do you do with those files that were saved in a folder in your desktop for missing links? Can i just delete them afterwards?

Yes, just trash them. Once you're sure the links are right, they're just intermediate files.

That'll be pretty tough without an original file.

Legend. I had a DT marked link. Method 2 worked for me, but i only needed to relink then unlink. Poof the broken link disappeared. Didn't need to copy/paste the book to the side.
