Vinegar: Yes. Drywall screen? Absolutely NOT! The aggressive abrasive will destroy the glaze on the porcelain and make the bowl uncleanable in the future.

I appreciate your comment! I have been using drywall screen for decades and have never seen a scratch. I have never had the experience of destroyed glaze on the porcelain.

Dry wall screen is actually plastic, will not scratch like a metal window screen.

Professional cleaners grind on toilets heavily with pumice stone and don’t destroy the toilet. As you know, the drywall screen is not damaging. You have nothing to worry about. It’s a good tip.

Ok thank you for showing me how to clean the inside of the toilet that was extremely helpful! But I'm also having a mold problem behind my toilet. It's from the toilet tank down to the floor, and now it's starting to grow on the floor. Can you help me?

Spray vinegar on it and leave it for an hour, come back and wipe it clean with an all purpose cleaner and a cleaning cloth. If it's in the caulk, you need to remove it and reapply it! Some people use bleach but that stuff is so strong so I always try natural methods first! Good luck!

Try making a baking soda and dish soap paste and spread it over your grout. Leave it on for an hour or so and use warm water and a brush to scrub the paste away.

How are you ridding the feed tubes in the top of the toilet of mold? That toilet will be moldy again in about two weeks.

Try putting a cup of baking soda and mixing it around a little. Let it sit for an hour. Pour hot water (not boiling) into the top of the toilet. Flush. Don't mix baking soda (a base) and vinegar (acidic) because they cancel each other out and it defeats the purpose. The toilet could be continuously getting moldy every two weeks or so (like mine does) because of a humid environment. If there isn't any ventilation in the bathroom or if you have a leaky pipe behind the drywall (hopefully not), that may be the root cause. I'm sorry it's happening! I hope you find the root of the cause soon. Thanks for your comment!

the only thing is why are you using such a nice quality diaper cloth to use and throw away. Putting my hands inside a toilet I couldn't do either but great job cleaning. I just use a toilet scrub brush

I wash the diaper cloths and use them again. I wouldn't throw them away!

Save time buy iron out from hardware store. You add the iron out in the tank, in the toilet water, I add a bit of dish detergent also. The easiest way to do it is leave in overnight to do the job flush in the morning it isn’t an inconvenience to anyone. This is a product that will do the job for you in the tank in the toilet, of course you will have to clean the outside of the toilet. Iron out saves your time money.

haha! If I'm going to use paper towels, I personally like the ones from Costco the best... but cloths (it doesn't have to be cloth diapers! lol) always win because you can wash them and use them over and over again. Less waste!

Hey, thanks for commenting! The drywall screen will get rid of the mold stains and you can put vinegar in the top of the toilet and it will prevent mold from growing.
