How to remove paint from chrome wheels.

SO SHINY, SO CHROME! Today I remove the spray on bedliner that a previous owner applied to the wheels. Underneath was a set of shiny chrome wheels!

I used a citrus based non toxic cleaner.

How long do you recomend me to leave the spray on before whipping it off or pressure washing them I might have missed it on the video?

It varys depending on the type of spray used. I think I left it on for about 10 minutes before washing it off.

I don't know if it will or not. The bed liner spray I removed was on pretty thick and is pretty strong. This took it right off.

i wonder if this would work on plastic chrome? im looking at a car that had all the chrome painted black on the mouldings. and im worried if i spray anything on it it will remove the chrome color as well?

I would try to do a practice piece first that is hidden from the eye. Try not to use anything that is super abrasive to scrub. Maybe something like a very fine piece of steel wool.

I did. I put them back on the truck and hit it with the pressure hose at the car wash. No problems.

It is possible. The stuff I used was for removing graffiti, spray paint, etc. It is really strong citric acid. If you have a spare piece I would give it a try.

I got paint on my chrome wheels would it work on them and will it take the chrome off?

It should remove the paint and it will not damage the chrome. The stuff I used is a citrus based graffiti remover that I have used on paint before.
