Used this method on my motorcycle pipes, and it worked great, only used 2 cans for my magna pipes, all chrome and beautiful, previous owner dropped the bike and scratched the chrome up and decided to paint over it matte black lol smh.

Go to hardware store and ask for aircraft paint stripper. That works.

Hope you'll unswer my question. First of this is best video I have seen so far. Results are almost magical. I have mx-5 nd came with oem 17"rims. They are "gun metal" color. I was going to get it sprayed chrome. Your solution much better. Question is how do I know or can find out or do you know if the rims have chrome under the gun metal paint? Any answers would be much appreciated. Great video!

You got lucky that who ever painted those didn't sand the chrome down before painting, as they should have. I wonder how many people wasted their time trying this, only to find out that the wheels had been sanded before painted. Lol

I dont know of any way to remove bedliner or rhino liner but i know oven cleaner isnt going to eat through it. Id look around for some more advixe beofre hitting it with something that strong

Nice vid but there is 1 in a 1000 chance for this to work. Firstly depending on the type of paint used on top of chrome secondly if the chrome was sanded and epoxy primed prior to painting (which it should have been) you would be in for a nasty surprise. Actualy if it was primed correctly there is no way oven cleaner would get rid of that paint

NEVER touch your chrome with steel wool!!!!! Once chrome is scratched like that you can not remove the scratch. You can not "polish" out the scratched chrome. This guy was lucky that these wheels were not prepared properly for paint, by roughing up the surface. If they were all his work would be wasted.
