It helped me save time and money, because i opened on my own manually my Canon Maxify Printer, removed manually the Black Ink Cartridge, cleaned it and replaced it back to its position, improving perfectly the printing quality, without having to visit the repair service center. I WANNA CRY! I wanna, but I can't! Still, I'm more than GLAD to find this video! This printer sits on my desk and I'm not able to print and not able to exchange. I wanted to do it manually, but I made about 21 years ago a HP Printer damaged, by move the head manually, I didn't wanted to risk this anymore in my life. The printer BEEN powerless, when this damage happen. THX, THX, THX! Well, I didn't made that, but on the video looks clear. In the comments section I already catched other Thx from other KZbinrs so best hope. The most bad feeling provided from the fact, that I even bought original cartidges and wasn't able to exchange the cheap ones, they are dry, cannot print, so they will be never empty...

The video really saves my life! I have been struggling with third party ink because I forgot to remove the thin film covering a hole, the printing quality is really low with a lot of blanks and lines. I had to do deep clean all the time to consume the inks before I can change them (and at the end the black ink is of question mark when it is almost empty), which indeed is a nightmare. Now I tried your way and it works so smoothly! Still I don't understand why Canon doesn't allow us to change the ink in middle - really strage

Thanks for your thoughtful feedback! The answer from Canon is that it is not necessary for a customer to take out a cartridge from the printer before it has been messaged as empty - 😶 - we do not agree...

Can you do a video that is showing how to refill a refillable cartridge if the ink is already low for MB series thanks. Or just tell me what is the procedure, i am using refillable cartridge same in the video but im worried how should i refill it if the ink is already low

Hello Oilegor, thanks for Your question. At the moment we are not selling the refillables PGI2500 (status March 18th 2021). But actually the fill port should be accessible when opening the front cover on the printer - just fill up ink without taking the cartridge out of the printer - should be possible.

You can do so to prevent that ink is dripping out of the cartridge when setting the cartridge back into the printer. I assume that is You intention, right? Pay attention to that the tape covering the ink outlet is punctured properly by the thorn inside the print head compartment when setting the cartridge back into the printer. This is necessary that the ink flow out of the cartridge is not disturbed.

Can you help? - my MB2755 printer has stopped working and the printer head is 'stuck' on the right hand side and the 'error light' on. The machine will not switch on at all - and therefore the printer cartridges cannot be moved. Is it possible to move the printer head manually? - without the machine being switched on? I have tried 'hard resetting many times' but it does not work ..... I need to remove the cartridges - but how do I move the printer head manually to be able to change them? This has happened before but last time the machine was able to be switched on.

@@octopusoffice No, the machine won't even turn on correctly .... When I plug the machine in (again), at first only the error light is on fully and then if I press the 'on' button, it lights up (but nothing else happens). And the screen is dead. I have managed to unscrew the side part of the machine and manual remove 2 cartridges but the 2 'inner' cartridges are still stuck inside. Any further ideas?

Hello Chris, with our suggested method just one cartridge or any number of cartridges that You have in mind to take out. It is not compulsory to remove them all.

Hello ! my printer Maxify MB2140 showed level of ink finished of Black & Cyan cartridge, I took it out and brought new and installed. I started to print but again showed cross sign of Magenta cartridge and says the ink may have run out. Help me !!

after removal, the new cartridge does not stay in its place. So everything was useless and now the printer does not work

We are sorry to read that You experience difficulties after following our instructions. Please check if You have bent the hook that holds the cartridges in place - there is a chance that You can pry it back into its original position - the whole procedure has to be done very carefully.
