My car had a metal plate blocking the connectors that yours doesn't have. Just a note that there may be another step for some people.

You're right! Most cars have a protector cover plate. It's held down by two screws and comes off very easily. But this car did not have it.

That evap line is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to remove on the car. Not even locking pliers can get it off.

Wedge a flathead screwdriver or picks under each side until the teeth aren’t locked in place and pull 👍
