hey, do you know if the auto and manual 323 throttle bodies are different. found a second hand one for sale i’ll try first, i don’t think they should be different but wanted to hear if you’ve got an idea
@AJCars.3 күн бұрын
@@EdwardMarakhov I don’t think they are, the 323 is a weird hybrid, all the others are either electric or cable, this is both, so as long as it’s cable and electric you should be fine

Hi, is the throttle possition sensor is integrated in the throttle body? And do you have to reprogram the throttle body when unplugging and plugging it back?
@AJCars.11 ай бұрын
Yes the position sensor it part of the body I’m sure, but I would say get a new one as I had a second hand one and it was faulty and threw me right off thinking it was other issues, and no you don’t have to reprogram it purely plug and play

I'm about to remove mine, I've already replaced split hoses but I'm sure the butterfly valve is snagging in the crappy alloy casting. Especially as it broke a throttle cable before I bought the car. Went like stink when I test drove it so hopefully that wil cure it. Mine also lit the EML light when it was in limp mode. Was your throttle body a new or used replacement?
@AJCars.9 ай бұрын
It was a used replacement but reconditioned, has been great ever since!
@YootubeUK9 ай бұрын
@@AJCars. I think having just polished out where it was binding mine was the butterfly physically binding in the body. Just polished the edges and body up, shifted the carbon and butterfly back in. If not fixed, I have at least now ruled that out.

Where is throttle position sensor located
@AJCars.8 ай бұрын
The TPS is manufactured into the throttle body mate
@timmymartins12292 ай бұрын
@@AJCars. well now that i know that, it's great help cause i kept getting p0120 and p0220 error codes on my obd, i moved the wires a bit and took a reading it was only showing p0120 again, i thought it had to be some wire that connects to the throtlebody, now i know i have to take the whole thing off and check the sensors inside, thanks for the help!
@AJCars.2 ай бұрын
@ well there isn’t a sensor inside to look at, I thought the same but if it’s the same as mine which is a cable/electric throttle body, you don’t take it apart, you just replace the whole unit as one unfortunately, it’s expensive but needs to be done..
@timmymartins12292 ай бұрын
@@AJCars. oh damn, i was gonna try do that tomorrow, but are you sure that plastic part with the tabs doesn't have the sensor inside? im gonna have to take it out anyway so i might as well try to see what's inside that plastic part where the plug connects, cause buying a used one is gonna be hard to find, and a new one on auto-doc is like 800€ wich is too expensive, i hope its just carbon build up and i can clean it, i just find it odd that sometimes the error goes away and i drove the car normal for a year and then i left it in the garage a couple weeks and now its coming back with the error code again :/, i've searched and found some tps sensors on google but im not sure if that's what is inside i guess i'll find out tomorrow. thanks for the help bro :D
@AJCars.2 ай бұрын
@ the TPC sensor is most likely for an M3, double check the carbon build up first before doing anything, hopefully it just needs cleaning

Hi pal, what was the issue? Mine is in idle at the moment, it’s in limp mode and won’t go past 20mph, brings come 005E19 code, which indicates throttle body.
@AJCars.5 ай бұрын
@@d99mu if it’s got a rough idle I’d check the ICV (idle control valve) first, then if that doesn’t work I’d check for leaks in the lines, if it isn’t that I’d go for throttle body mate
@Cokewave01 Жыл бұрын
How did you plug in the round throttle cable with the arrows ? I’ve been struggling smh
@AJCars. Жыл бұрын
It’s a bit of an awkward one it has a certain shape inside so you can only offer it up 1 way, once you line it up you have to push it down whilst turning it clockwise, it basically winds on then will click down once it’s all the way in
