How to remove Toyota Sienna spare tire

Thank you so much!!! You solved my problem when I couldn't find the answer anywhere else. I needed to get that spare tire down but the handle was broke off on the outside of the back door on my van so I had to take the panel off the back door to reach that nut that needed to lower the spare. The van didn't have that tool to unscrew it but I still got it down with vice grips and got it all done. You're a life saver. Much appreciated and stay safe my friend. 👋

If you don't have the key that removes the bolt holding up the tire. how do you remove the tire? can you use a socket wrench and a socket?

My spare actually has a spare tire case you can put the tire in (instead of a plastic bag) its on the inside of the panel door next to the strap.

It’s be good to note the FIVE-SIDED ratchet that Toyota stupidly installed instead of a normal hex-ratchet head…but you could still talk about the heat & your family trips & whatever…
