Not only Toyota Tacoma but most trucks will have a spare tire under the bed right by the tailgate. Very easy to take off and put back on.

It's a good idea to check the air pressure in your spare tire when you check/add air to your regular 4 tires (or at least once a year minimum). You don't want to find out that your spare has low air pressure when you are on the side of the road at night with a flat. Also, teach your children how to change a flat tire, especially your daughters! As a mother, that's the best advice I can give!

I took all that crap out because it's added weight and now that my frame is repaired and new build has begun a 37in tire won't even fit under there. I needed room for extra activities anyway

It’s always good to take it off once and awhile like how you are because that will help it from getting rusty and stuck. Also check the air pressure on it as well

My problem is in pretty sure my spare is 15 years old, on top of that in pretty sure the winch has been rusted in place for about the same amount of time so even if I could use the tire I don't think I could get it off the truck
