How to Remove Toyota Truck's Rear Glass Window (with regular tools)

Would be great to see a video of the re sealing process as well. Can't tell if my rear sliding window or my xtra cab glass is leaking. No garage to use so I'd have to do everything on a sunny day. Thanks for the removal video

Back glass is definitely leaking, can't get replacement rubber seal from Toyota. Has anyone figured out a good way to re seal these?

for 1991 one with the floor Glass Window is it in between the inside and out side or it one big job

It's been a few years, I can't remember if I cut myself or not. But you're a vampire so you probably spot that easily in the video. Do vampires even use bandaids when they get a cut or do they just suck their own blood, like a free snack?

No, Xtra cab rear glass is about 2” taller

Man that is the hard way. Use thin rope trick :) once its past from inside to the outside just pull and all that rubber will peel and glass out :) wrap string on the rubber again to reinstall. Little lube helps out too.

Iam about to pull one out I'll try your rope method

@@dannysmith9009 tuck the rubber in a few inches and then use the rope and a large tie wrap or whatever you have just to get the rope past the rubber seal and pull away inward to get the rubber to fold and tuck. Might need to help it get started and it will tuck in as you pull. Do not forget to lube or use soapy mixture for ease of removal.

I cringe everytime i see metal tools used thats why there is plastic ones made not to damage the body edge of course with this project the truck is going to the junk yard i just hope my rear window never needs replaced on my 3rd gen toy..
