My system was heavily infected I had a virus that took all the storage space on my pc. None of the things in this video worked and I thought all hope was lost until I tried the AWD cleaner he talked about in the second to last chapter. It detected 101 threats and I quarantine all of them. Afterward I ran the scan again just to be safe, found 14 more threats! Kept running until all threats were gone and now my pc works Real smooth thank you!

it may be a fake antivirus, check if the name is ultra malware cleaner pro antivirus or something like that, if yes then most likely its a fake antivirus made so you install more virus

"Removing' a virus is like shutting the barn door after all of the animals have escaped. The fact that your computer has a virus points to a larger issue; the user is doing something that allowed his/her system to become compromised; visiting dodgy websites, installing software from unknown sources, using torrent applications, inserting A USB thumb drive that is infected, clicking on links in emails, etc. The best practice is to not get as virus, trojan, worm or other malware in the first place.

Would you say antivirus software like Norton, McAfee, ect.. are a waste of money? I'm alright with computer stuff, but my buddies who know more than me tend to prefer base windows antivirus/windows defender. They call those other 3rd party ones primarily bloatware. Edit. So since I got my new laptop, I'm running base windows defender and uninstalled the "free 1 month" of antivirus that came with my msi laptop. I think it was Norton. I also took a while to get rid of some other pre-installed stuff. I got a Vector GP66 during a Black Friday Sale in 2022 from NewEgg

I just got a virus (or hacked from a Doom 3 VR or texture mod) (I think) it deleted everything off my desktop and tried to access my microphone, I did a system restore, after that, chrome wouldn't launch and windows defender wouldn't do anything, as if it wasn't installed. I forced a scan thru the powershell, it didn't find anything and now everything is back to normal besides my desktop files gone. Now I don't feel secure should I reinstall windows or just go with it and watch for odd behaviors?

I got like 7 billion viruses from an "I'm not a robot" thing. The scan says I have no viruses, but I know I have some. Have you a video on how to stop DDE Serverr Window which kkeeps appearing on my computer when I try to close down. I used the video in which you showed how to fix the system via CMD chkdsk f/ r/ which fixed the problem initially but this moring when I turned the computer off the DDE Server window appeared again.
