Do you have any tips for songs that have vocals, but then also background vocals? Whenever I mess with the presets, the vocals mostly or entirely disappear, but any background singers are still very much present.

Forget Audacity if you want all the tools available for vocal elimination. Audition is the best software.

I tried it with 3 songs. With two of them, it worked REALLY well. The last song it didn't (and it's because of how it was recorded)

You forgot the about the 'beginners' out here. Some of us are brand new to Au, and need instruction from the very beginning as in 'How to add the file"? Do we 'Open' the file? ... or Do we "Import" the file? ... or do we add a "New File"? What is the best way of these three option? How do we add the track to the timeline (?) properly. I am sure each method has it pro's and con's and it sure would be nice to know the difference. Can you please make a new video that starts from the very beginning? We would really appreciate it. Difficult to perfect with any software, you're best off looking for a studio version online.

A lot of people either recreate the song themselves or find an official instrumental, hard to find for some songs.

Lol Audacity is trash, don't waste your time with that rubbish program. The best software that removes vocals the best is "Phonic Mind", but keep in mind* that it isn't free and a payment is required and ill have too say, i am very very satisfied with the results :D it is the best that I've encounter so far and these programs don't stand a chance.
