This is brilliant! Thanks so much for showing how this is done buddy 😊 Mine didn't come out and I wasn't sure what the issue was, but it turns out it was the metal plate not moving (rusty I think) so a little tap with a screwdriver and hammer and it moved out the way, letting me get the locking mechanism out. Thanks again 👍

Thank you. @bushido warrior Absolutely fab video, no nonsense. My T6 handle was stuck out- this allowed me to fix. My Kombi has no insulation so allowed me to use a proper T20 Torx screwdriver

Mine won't come off either! What do you do if you have deadlocks? PS - I think I have them, as it locks "twice" 🤔

the standard front doors have a spring clip, your sliding door shows none so how does the handle spring back? mine works fine apart from the spring back, the handle is loose.

I also have a loose spring it does not return as it should. What could be the issue?

I like these no nonsense no head wrecking music video. Straight to the point. But I have a question. When you have the handle removed, how do you remove the mounting bracket that sits behind the handle and over the locking mechanism. I had to get a replacement as my one fell apart while in situ. It is a 2016 caddy but looks like identical handles to yours

Just wondering, the forward part not lock end, of the handle on mine feels a bit loose. You can rock it slightly up and down. What could that be? Is it the plastic part worn out? New handle?

@@marikamineur9323 I ended up replacing the mechanism. I looked at a video and got stuck in. Seems to have solved it but they are not the best design out the factory in the first place. Plastic on metal plus you use the handle to pull the weight of the door back and forth

Thanks for the reply. I took mine off last night and couldn't see anything obviously wrong so I'll order replacements too. Makes sense they wear so poorly when you put it like that. Is it just the handle that you replaced or the whole inside aswell too?

Does sound like wear and tear but without seeing it would be difficult to comment. Remove handle and unit and inspect components for wear 👍
