A brilliant video Adam and just the type of nice clean and tidy work that all builders should aspire to. Like you I am always happy once the steels are in place and external walls bricked up. As for sh*tt*ng - I have been in charge of projects where we demolished a bridge over a motorway (over a weekend) and then the following weekend lifted in a new steel deck fabricated over 200 miles away. As you can imagine we measured a least a dozen times and had spare 360 excavators/dumpers/drivers/concrete pumps/cranes etc. Despite all of this, the relief on the team was visible once that deck lined up with the fixing bolts! Cheers

Thank you Keith. Oh wow, I don’t think I’d have the capabilities to do that, that is serious serious serious pressure 😂🤯 fair play to you 🍻 imagine the video I could make doing that, there would be many sleepless nights involved 😂

Regards no footing... They built plenty a home that way back in the day .. things probably got more regulated before WW1. They set brick or stone block down a few courses on compcted cinders or ever just the dirt ground itself. Keep it up Bro !

Great work as always lads , wondering I’d put a tray in too always better with than without imo, plus I always put slate in the top bed I/e new to existing brickwork as I think it keeps it nice and tight , keep up the great content 👍
@AdamHatch
@AdamHatch 8 ай бұрын
Yeah somebody else had said put a tray in, I just thought as it’s 9inch brickwork it wouldn’t need it. Slate is a good idea, I didn’t think about that. I did properly point it in so there’s no hollow beds

Why didn't you have the top steel on top on the stantions so that the weight is pushing down on the stantions in stead of having bolts in the way which is also a weak point

How did you get steel through house ?
@AdamHatch
@AdamHatch 8 ай бұрын
It took about 3/4 hours to shit it, luckily the skip driver helped us lift it into the door, he then left his scaffold poles behind, we cut them down and rolled it in places but then we realllllllly struggled as it was uneven and the acrows were up so we had to strategically move them. 3 of us could move it about an inch at a time 😂 was a serious headache. I had a cold too which didn’t help 😂
