How to rename devices automatically in Intune

Hi Carson! Great Video! Im trying to do the automation for iPad devices to be renamed like you show in the video for Windows 10. I need the renaming to show the users LASTNAME_DeviceUdidLast Four. Also, on the device configuration profile, create, for me its iOS/Ipads>Templates> Custom> I create the name but then on the Configuration Settings screen, my screen does NOT look like the one you show in the video...that OMAR URI settings (add) my screen doesnt show that, instead mines have Custom configuration profile name and then Configuration profile file (it wants me to upload a profile) and this where Im confused and stuck??

Would all computers have the same name [Cloud] followed by numbers? Would we have to add an owner to distinguish what computer belongs to what user?

Of the many I have searched for Endpoint, you're the best Instructor (Thank you!)... Carson, is there a way to keep the Rename under 15 characters if I only want the last five numbers to the serial number? Example: Cloud12345

How does it works for Android devices? I have a dynamic group with some devices, and I want to change the name automatically. Intune doesn´t have the config from enrollment like the iOS "Device Name Template", so I am lookink a way to do it for Android

I successfully renamed my windows 10 endpoint using this method, but I'm seeing a State: Error (ERROR CODE: 0x87d1fde8) within the applicable configuration profile details page within Intune. How do I get rid of this error status within the configuration profile? Please and Thank you!

Will this try to rename the computer each time the Intune policy syncs to the device?

Note that once the computer is renamed, it will no longer be in the dynamic group so, it will only happen once.

Hi Carson, It looks like I am getting an error when this tries to change the name. Does the user that logs in have to have admin rights to change the name?

it is similar process as Chrome or Firefox then deploy to machine with Java installed.
