Good show Jerry! I bought a HUD brand wool pad at my wholesale paint store with low expectations, but I buffed the entire Torino with excellent results. 😉😉

Cheap is good sometimes. Try some of that TEMU sand paper for a DA - cheap as dirt and works fine. Thanks for watching Billy - have a great week my friend :)

Does that AMX have the same lacquer paint that 60's GM cars had?
@LakesideAutobody6 ай бұрын
That was not the original paint but I do think it was lacquer as it buffed out very easily. I think GM continued to use lacquer even into the 80's - their paint was garbage for years - now everyone's paint looks great - all OEM is pretty nice 👍

Thanks a lot. This is the type of mask I wear for painting and priming - anything with harmful vapors - 3M 07193 Dual Cartridge Respirator Assembly Organic Vapor , Large I'll do a short video on that soon - great topic :)

What do you recommend for single stage because I don’t think that technique will work
@LakesideAutobody3 ай бұрын
I like Nason Ful-Cryl or Ful-Thane also pantforcars.com urethane kit finally TCP Global urethane kits. All harden very well and lay fairly flat.

Did he put buffing pad on while the rotary drill was plugged in?!?

New law that can be sent to congress. "A safety device must be put on all buffers to prevent this." Just messing with you. Curious as to what could happen - maybe accidently buff my arm a bit? Just messing with you again 😊

Hey Jerry, long time.... Amx is coming along. Cant remember if i asked you this before, but can one wool buff single stage??? Can one color sand with 1500 or 2000 possibly 3000 then compound and buff with wool pad?
@LakesideAutobody6 ай бұрын
Absolutely - i was normal practice in the 70's 80's etc. That's all there was - no BC/CC. On metallic paint I try to be a bit light on the sanding - the metallic flakes are near the bottom but I think it's good to be a careful not to go too far.
