1000usd deposit for a kawasaki 300? MAX I gave for deposit is 400usd and that's in Singapore for a 2023 Honda Vezel RV5. And 250usd deposit for a Yaris Cross I rented for 4 days.

You will need passport to check in hotel, so dont leave your passport at place that you wont come back for several days later.

1000 dollar deposit is just nuts. Hack is before you go on your trip report your passport as lost, get a new one and use the “lost one” as a guarantee passport for situations like this. Or worst case just give them an expired passport and hope they won’t notice.

For 1000$ deposit you can get a second hand bike and sell it for 500$ either way; you dont spend that much money. If you want more freedom... just saying
