How to repair a Bosch washing machine that won't start

My Bosch washing machine wouldn't start. When I selected a wash program with the dial the digital display on the screen lit up with the time ok but nothing would happen when I pressed the start button. This video shows how I investigated and resolved the issue.
The cost of purchasing a replacement part (Mechanical door interlock) online was under £31 (approx. $41 USD).
The quoted charge for a company to spend less than five minutes to repair the problem was just under £114 (approx. $152 USD).

I will try this. I have this Machine left by a previous tenant and I've been having issues getting it to work. 60 & 90° isn't working. It just stays on active, then after 3 mins flashes. It seems to work on 30°, but has stopped

Our washing machine wasn’t starting so I tried the 5 second reset, it still didn’t do anything right away so I tried opening the door (thinking may be a door lock problem as with yours and if not, it should be locked shut) and it opened. Slammed it shut again and it started the wash cycle! Thanks 👍👍👍 Update: the electric lock that the catch clicks into did need replacing not long after.

I am having the same issue with a Bosch front loader. It is also saying that the weight of the laundry is at 0% capacity. I am going to change out the locking mechanism to see if that fixes the issue of the wash cycle not starting. Thank you for making such an easy to follow video. Well done.

😢mine puts water and sometimes washes like now it washed puts water to rinse but doesn't rinse just stopped after a while drains water,put water to rinse again stops then drains again without rinsing 😢😢don't know what to do m so stressed right now

I bought a used unit. The lady said it worked great. I plugged it in and got 2 beeps and nothing. I tried pushing the start button for 5 seconds to reset. Nothing. I replaced the door switch thinking that was it. It isn't. Same exact thing. Always 2 beeps. I read through the online owners manual and wasn't mentioned at all.
