My lazyboy excutive chair came with two missing holes for screws under seat cushion to attach to back of chair. Do you know which size recievers are needed to drill in two holes ?

@Stacey Dash - I'm not familiar with those chairs. I recommend contacting the dealer or manufacturer for further assistance.

I have the rocker recliner and now because of medical issues and stability problems I do not feel secure using the rocker and cannot afford a new lazy boy. Is there a way to take the rocker portion off so I can use it as a recliner? Your help is appreciated!

@Jojo - As far as I know, La-z-boy does not provide a method or kit to stop their rockers from rocking. So, you'll have to recruit a DIYer and do it yourself by blocking / stopping the forward & back motion. A common problem with older users and rockers is that when they try to get out of the chair, the front of the chair dips down to the floor, making it harder for them to exit the chair. A quick fix for that problem, is to attach a block under the front of each arm frame -- toward the front, so the chair cannot dip and is stabilized. A short stack of books on the floor at the same location will also work. You could also attach blocks or "legs" at the back to stop the chair from rocking back as well.

Do you know how to lock a lazy boy swivel base to where it doesn’t spin?
@reclinerrepairguy41555 жыл бұрын
Evan Chandlee - I've never blocked one, however, I believe there may be a 'Stop' that can be installed to accomplish that. Contact La-z-boy or one of their dealers for more information.

I also work on these for a living. A style # beginning with 010 you can take the swivel off and put on the regular rocker base. Which most dealers can "wont guarantee you they will" get you for free with your "ack/line/item". You will have to spin the "pizza" until you can remove the bolts 2 at a time, then with the pizza off you can remove the swivel base from the rocker springs and replace with a rocker base. If your recliner style begins with 017 spin the pizza until you find two holes near the edge of the black square metal base that 2 bolts can be inserted, you will want to add washers or some sort of piece about an inch thick between the metal and the pizza for this method.

Almost forgot for the 010 style you will also have to remove the pawl arm (black springy arm) from the swivel base and put on the rocker base Recliner Repair guy has some videos on this and it works the same on the swivel chairs.

What length screw do you use
@reclinerrepairguy41554 жыл бұрын
@John Russell - I use 1 5/8" & 2" long screws, depending on the width of the base side rails. The 2" is for the wider rails.

@@LoveMyKleeKai- Sure, longer will work. Just be sure to drill pilot holes to avoid splitting the wood.
