I got an eight point this year with a split ear. I asked the taxidermist to keep it. I love the look of it.

Instead of sewing, would superglueing the split edges to the earliner work. Then pull the ear butt back away from liner and add a couple spoonfuls of regular glue in the ear squeeze gluet up the ear until it fills the rest of the ear.

Glue works well, but over time I'm afraid the edges might separate if it got too dry

Do many guys want their bucks ears repaired or are they wanting them left torn? I feel left torn is the way to go shows the battle scars off

So far every one I've ever done they wanted them left torn. I like the look myself too

Yeah I shot a 10 pointer this season with a split ear. I never mentioned it to my taxidermist but now that I see this I hope he doesnt try to repair it. Might send him a text
