You saved my day. I've got $2,000 invested and now I'm doing it myself in 3 weeks time. They sent the wrong PTO. The mechanic built me one out of his junk. It started having problems The very first day and then gave up after a week and a half of barely working company sent me out the right parts for the wrong PTO and now I have to build it. Like I said you save the day. Thank you

Hi, if the only thing that needs replacement is the PTO air shift cover does the hydraulic fluid and transmission fluid need to be drained?

You shouldn’t need to drain the hydraulic fluid or even touch the hydraulic pump if you are just changing the air shift cover. You do have to drain the transmission oil if your pulling off the pto air shift cover. If you don’t your gonna have a huge mess

Hello! Is this a 489? Could you link the kit you purchased if possible? I'm having a hard time finding a complete rebuild kit for tge Chelsea 489. Thanks

As far as I know there are no complete rebuild kits for these due to the fact that they change ratios according to the application there used for. In the video I give the gasket kit number and bearing and race numbers. You will have to find the gearing from a place that sells Chelsea pto products. Sorry for not being more of a help on the subject

I have questions I got one that leaking from the hole by where the pto and hydraulic motor connects the only hole there is the the indicator that the hydraulic pump is fryed ?

What does the wire do that plugs into the fork box? I think I heard someone call it a confirmation wire. It about has to send a ground though right? I have a bad leak on a borrowed bucket truck right at the PTO but the fluid looks like hydraulic. I thing the pump seals are shot. I think the owner has possibly never put hydraulic filters on it since they bought the truck from my nephew in law. And restriction may have blown the seals.

Excellent observation! Once it’s on the transmission it will be completely submerged on the inside with transmission oil.
