Really appreciate your video, I was able to use this to get my 510 apart without breaking it! How do the buttons work? Are they pressure sensitive? If that's the case, couldn't you just pad over the buttons with something? One video I watched said to go over the contacts with a pencil to get some lead on contacts so the button post has something to hit. I'm not sure the 510 works the same way though 🤔

All the paints, coating and tricks (like pencil) are temporary at best and most cause additional problems. The conductive material does not stay where you need it or want it. You can count on needing to fix the "repair" again every few months or your remote may completely lock up when a button shorts out

Thanks for this clear video. Unfortunately, my Harmony 555's volume up and one of the buttons to side of LCD still don't work :( I think I'm gonna need to find an alternative to universal remotes altogether, since they seem to have gone out of fashion
