Always repair parts on the floor in the dirt. Cleanliness is a foreign word for them. The broken spring is simply reinstalled. What is an amazing technology process supposed to be about it?

I'm with you, i missed the amazing technology part! There's nothing amazing about working in filth & squalor, using primitive technology, without any safety procedures. They used a rusty steel bar, had to cut deep to remove most of the rust, then beat the newly threaded end on the filthy floor to break it off from the part not used. Their idea of "amazing" & my idea of "amazing" are completely different.

Youve got to realise the average Pakistan wage for these guys is around $200 a month, its far cheaper to just keep repairing the breakages than it is to replace with new parts or do a more expensive repair with better materials and machines

I have used the hammer technique when assembling damaged threads the thread forms flatten out irregularities in each other and allowed assembly and did repair the thread form. Probably not a good idea to beat the new cut thread on the floor earlier. Personally I prefer lock tight to welding everything solid so you cannot get off next time. I suppose finger tight and weld would work though.

Вот вот, видимо они уже не собираются ее выкручивать )) мне кажется пружина и дальше будет крошиться, надо было из алюминия сделать подпяток для пружины. Так что разбирать ещё будут ! ))

In the first machining process the stub was running out, by miles/KM and the crest of the threads were taken off on part of the diameter, a thread was screw cut on the retaining end, and the nut welded on?.(turn a parallel shaft then weld it on whilst in the press) Why was the broken spring not replaced.

I actually think that the guys who submit these videos are looking for scary scenarios to gain subscribers. The actual machinists and welders usually get good results…. Despite conditions. I really doubt that any true machinist would risk his product by dumping it on the concrete…… this was following a script to shock us.

All these parts fail because they never put any ...... GREASE on anything. None of these people have ever done any training on how to fix thing properly as long as they have a bloody big hammer and a arc welder that's good enough. Hahaha.

Use a parting tool to cut of the knobbly bit on the end, quicker and less damage to equipment. Doing all the lathe work at 15 at secondary modern school, William Penn Rickmansworth, now a housing estate, plus a forge and casting. No one hurt “to much😀”.Grinding. Cutting Parting, Knurling, brazing, Welding “Gas”
